Help Clarence Earn His Wings!
Set the day before Christmas, Bright Star ProductionZ (BSP) char-actors will re-enact short vignettes from this timeless movie on the streets of your town. At the start of the day, they will re-enact the famous "Bridge scene," where George Bailey goes into the river after Clarence. From there, these professional and talented actors will perform vignettes from the movie throughout the day.
Later in the afternoon, BSP char-actors will re-enact the second "Bridge scene" from the movie, where George realizes he just wants to exist. The final scene from the movie, where the townspeople bring George Bailey the money to pay his debt, will be performed at the end of the day. The audience will bring the "Bailey Bucks" they have won throughout the day to the final scene and will win prizes for the most collected.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
¨ We will work with your High School students in an Arts & Education piece. Laura K. Vannah and your High School teachers will work together with the students to research and learn about the history and music that is in the film: the Great Depression, WWII, any slang they find, and more. They students will then create their own characters out of what they learn. The "character" the students create, write vignettes for, and costume will become a part of the day's events. For example, these characters could be from history, or a soldier coming home from the war, Rosie the Riveter, etc. The students will learn how to take what they are learning in their classrooms and transform that knowledge into acting.
¨ We will work with your middle school children. They will read Tom Sawyer over the course of the fall semester with their teachers. We will then come in and help them re-enact vignettes from the book. We will give out "AS2" awards to all the students. “Dear (child’s name): Remember no (child’s sex) is a failure who has friends. Thanks for the wings! Love Clarence”, will be written in the front of a copy of Tom Sawyer for each classroom.
Working with High School and Middle School students would be an extra fee.
